NEW: Cholera cases latest

Cholera cases have reached 3 457, although most people who have been infected have fully recovered.

As at July 10, out of the 3 457 cases that were recorded, there were 3 351 recoveries, according to latest statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care.

Nineteen cholera-related deaths have been recorded in 10 provinces.

According to the Ministry, the highest numbers of cholera cases have been reported in Manicaland province with 1 409 cases, and Harare province with 1 387 cases.

Cholera confirmed deaths have been recorded in Manicaland (12), Mashonaland Central (two), Mashonaland West (one), Masvingo (one), and Harare (three).

Matabeleland North province, which was only affected by the cholera outbreak recently, has five recorded cases.
