NEW: Cholera vaccinations exceed 1,9 million

THE country’s cumulative cholera vaccinations have reached 1 998 451 in hotspot areas since the launch of the vaccination campaign on January 29, 2023.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care: “Since the launch of the vaccination campaign, a total 1 998 451 vaccines have been administered across the country as of February 19, 2024.”

The vaccines are part of the 2,3 million doses that were allocated to Zimbabwe by the International Coordinating Group on Vaccine Provision.

Zimbabwe has so far recorded 25 233 suspected cholera cases, 2 694 confirmed cases, 24 527 recoveries and 71 deaths.
