CHIRUMANZI Rural District Council has constructed a new clinic in Shashe Ward 23 resettlement area to cushion villagers who were walking long distances to access health facilities.
Doroguru Clinic, which gobbled more than $52 000, will service more than 4 500 villagers in Shashe resettlement area.
The clinic, officially opened by Midlands Minister of State Larry Mavima last week now awaits electricity connection. The construction of Doroguru Clinic brings to 20 the total number of healthcare facilities in the district against a population of about 92 000. Of the 20, seven are run by the local authority while Government and the Roman Catholic Church share the remainder.
