NEW: Covid-19 hits four PSL games

Online Reporter

THE Premier Soccer League (PSL) has cancelled four matches that had been lined up for the weekend, due to rising cases of Covid-19 infections amongst the clubs.

Although the PSL is keeping a tight lid on the number of cases, only four matches will be played between Saturday and Sunday, in a rearranged fixture schedule that was released on Wednesday.

Covid-19 cases have been on the rise, with Harare City becoming the latest club to be affected, when five of their players tested positive on Tuesday.

City’s midweek match against Yadah was subsequently moved to Sunday.

The postponed matches include Dynamos’ clash against Cranborne Bullets, as well as Highlanders’ trip to Manica Diamonds.

ZPC Kariba’s home match against Triangle has also been affected, so is the clash between Premiership returnees, Whawha and Bulawayo City, which was set for Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
