DYNAMOS FC have moved a step closer towards conforming with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Club Licensing requirements, following their appointment of veteran administrator, Jonathan Mashingaidze, as club chief executive officer.
A former ZIFA secretary, Mashingaidze is the latest appointment at DeMbare, who also unveiled Herbert Maruwa as their new head coach earlier this week.
Moses Maunganidze replaced Isaiah Mpfurutsa as Dynamos chairman in November, while former Lengthens owner, Musa Gwasira is now the vice chairman.
The appointment of Mashingaidze, who will head the club’s secretariat, should spur Dynamos towards attaining CAF Club Licensing requirements.
“The appointment is with immediate effect and it’s in line with the FIFA, CAF, and ZIFA Club Licensing framework and the club’s strategic plan,” read the appointment letter, signed by the club’s spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo.
“Mashingaidze, a seasoned sports administrator, is expected to head the most decorated club’s secretariat, which is in charge of the strategic operations of the club.”
Mashingaidze will also double up as general manager of the DeMbare@60 Anniversary Celebrations organising committee, which was set up recently.
