NEW: Divine Lunga rescues Golden Arrows

IT was a night of mixed fortunes for Zimbabwean footballers plying their trade in the South African DStv Premiership, which had five fixtures on Tuesday.

Warriors left-back Divine Lunga scored a crucial goal to rescue his team Golden Arrows from defeat, while 36-year-old Onismor Bhasera played 90 minutes as Supersport United walloped Royal AM 3-1.

Lunga scored an 84th-minute equaliser as Arrows drew 1-1 against Cape Town City.

Supersport United walloped Royal AM 3-1, with ageless Bhasera playing the entire match, while giant keeper George Chigova was on the bench.

Former Black Rhinos and Dynamos striker Tawanda Macheke came from the bench as Maritzburg United lost 3-0 against Stellenbosch.

Supersport United are now third on the log after nine rounds.
