Zimbabwean gospel artiste Everton Mlalazi has been nominated for “Best Male Gospel Artiste of the Year” and “Gospel Artiste of the Year” for Africa in the upcoming Clima Africa Awards, which are set for October in Nigeria.

The singer will battle it out for the gong with other talented artistes such as Nathaniel Bassey from Nigeria, Moses Bliss, Testimony Jaga and Joe Mettle (Ghana), Mercy Chinwo (Nigeria) and Winnie Mashaba (South Africa).

Mlalazi becomes the first Zimbabwean to vie for the Clima Africa Awards.

“This was unexpected, but I fully appreciate. I am in awe and grateful to God for the recognition.

“It encourages us at Everton Mlalazi brand to keep working,” he said.
