A TOTAL of 17 new exhibitors have confirmed participating at the 2023 Midlands Show Society (MSS) that kicks off this Thursday, ending Sunday.
MSS chairperson Mr Augustine Mupakurirwa confirmed that there were new exhibitors at this year’s show.
“We have 17 new exhibitors this year and these include the Office of the President and Cabinet, Tile and Carpet, Halsteds, Gokwe North Rural District Council, OK Mart, Relievers Funeral, and Zimchem Refiners among others,” he said.
Mr Mupakurirwa said the MSS which was initially slated for August 17-20 was brought forward to July 20-23.
“The preparations for this year’s show are at an advanced stage and we are geared for the commencement of the show on July 20. Although our exhibitors were affected by the change of dates due to the announcement of harmonised elections, 75 percent of stands have been taken and we hope that all stands will have been taken by end of the week,” he said.
Mr Mupakurirwa said this year’s guest would be acclaimed local businessman Mr John Ross Gordard.
The show will be running under the theme, “Collaborative, Integrative, Solutions for Economic Development.”
Award-winning Zimdancehall artist Freeman will headline the entertainment lineup which will also feature local artist Samukoko as well as the usual uniformed forced displays, soccer, and drum majorettes.
