NEW: fastjet aborts Johannesburg flight

FASTJET aborted a flight to Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon, after a crew member fell ill.

In a statement, the airline said ensuring the safety of passengers and the crew was top priority.

“We confirm that the safety of the flight, passengers and crew was not compromised,” said fastjet.

“All passengers onboard were deplaned on arrival, whilst we activated the required medical assistance for the unwell flight crew member.”
