NEW: FC Platinum off to Angola

NIGERIAN import, Abubakar Temitope Onifade, is part of the FC Platinum squad that left for Angola on Thursday for a CAF Champions League preliminary round match against GD Sagrada Esperanca on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Onifade, a highly rated striker who passed through the FC Barcelona Academy in Lagos, is the latest addition to a powerful FC Platinum side that also boasts of veterans like Rodwell Chinyengetere, Gift Bello, Donald Ngoma and goalkeeper Petros Mhari.

FC Platinum play Esperanca at the Estadio Municipal dos Coquerios in Luanda at 4pm on Saturday.

The return leg is set for the National Sports Stadium in Harare on September 18.

Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum have also included some junior players who include Oscar Bhebhe and Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya
