Zvishavane-based artistes, Gift Amuli, Goda Moyo and Tawanda Tobaiwa, on Thursday released a festive campaign song titled ‘Love Life’.

The song falls under the broader ‘Love Life’ campaign, a movement that aims to encourage Zimbabweans to shun violence and exercise caution to reduce road carnage and all forms of abuse during the festive season.

The song, released at Radio Park in Zvishavane, is accompanied by a video produced by Great Dyke Productions and CM Studios.

The campaign is being held in partnership with mining firm, Mimosa, the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, and Friendship Bench.

In a statement, Great Dyke Production and CM Studios said the song is the centrepiece of a campaign dubbed ‘Love Life–Preserve Humanity.’

“Our campaign urges Zimbabweans to introspect and find the value of love for life, peace, and harmony,” reads part of the statement.

“It also speaks out against gender-based violence, the violent culture among artisanal and small-scale miners, and the growing menace of substance abuse among the youths.

“The song was motivated by observations that such cases are on the rise resulting in loss of life in local communities.”

The artists called for collective efforts to curb unnecessary deaths and preserve humanity.
