GOVERNMENT will soon review allowances paid to Parliamentarians after they raised concerns over their welfare.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube said:

“I just want to say that we are very sensitive to the plight of Members of Parliament, so I suggest that we increase the budget, and there is a figure that I am going to propose.

“I think I should call a special session for us to discuss the welfare of MPs.

“This is a very important issue, and I endorse what has been raised before this House.”
