A new drama titled “The Return of Gringo”, which features the late Lazarus “Gringo” Boora’s son, Taurai, will be premiere in Harare on Wednesday evening.

In the new drama, Taurai worked with some of the actors who were part of the original “Gringo” cast.

The likes of William “Gweshegweshe” Matenga, Chati “Butao” Godobori, Blessing “Mbudziyadhura” Chimhowa and Stella “Mukadzi Wemusika” January are part of the new production.

The drama was written by Enock Chihombori and directed by Forward Gurira.

The plot of the new drama is centred on the Gringo character dealing the complexities of finding new love.

Chihombori said working with the late Lazarus Boora inspired him to come up with this new production.

“The late Gringo was creative and energetic. His son Taurai possesses the same traits and this pushed me into coming up with this production,” he said.
