HARARE residents are set to experience water supply disruptions following a major fault on the main trunk line from Morton Jaffray Water Works, the City of Harare has said.

In a statement, City of Harare said the technical fault has affected most parts of the capital, but teams were already on the ground working to restore supplies.

“The City of Harare would like to notify residents that there is a major fault on the main trunk line from Morton Jaffray Water Works and we are on the ground attending to it,” the statement read.

The municipality assured residents that normal services are expected to resume by midnight today.

The latest disruption comes at a time when many parts of Harare have already been grappling with erratic water supplies, forcing some households to rely on boreholes, water bowsers and unsafe sources.
