New home of Old Skool @ Aquarium

When popular disc jockey Kelvin Sifelani takes to the turntables, there can only be one sound, the sound of old skool. Crowne Plaza’s Aquarium Pub and Lounge Bar (formerly Aquarium Bar) is now the new home of old skool after engaging Sifelani. Since it re-branded in August, the venue has an impressive line-up of old school DJs including Ottis Frazer and the resident wheelspinner DJ Drew Beats. Veteran Sifelani is currently touring the UK and returning in a fortnight but DJ Drew Beats has been holding his own.

The joint is open Monday to Sunday from midday till late. Aquarium boss Edward Manjengwa, who is also the food and beverages manager at the hotel, said the bar is for the “discerning” crowd from young to top executives.

“We are also seeking to create a network platform for people where you can enjoy your drinks and talk business in a subtle environment,” he said.
The ambient environment on the second floor of the hotel, is complemented by a pool on the scenic balcony.
