Zimshop.net Investments will host the inaugural Smart Zimbabwe conference and expo later this month, as stakeholders in the sector continue to explore sustainable solutions that will transform the country into a growth hub.
The event slated for October 30 to November 1 at the Harare Showgrounds will discuss several issues aimed at shaping the future of smart innovations, renewable energy and sustainability.
The two-day event will attract players involved in urban development, technology, energy and sustainability who will deliberate on sustainable solutions for transforming urban areas into thriving cities.
In a statement, Zimshop Investments events coordinator Mr Rufaro Nyadembera said the conference will focus on essential pillars of smart Zimbabwe masterplan.
“The Smart Zimbabwe Conference and Expo is a premier event that aims to shape the future of smart innovations, renewable energy and sustainability in Zimbabwe by creating a platform for dialogue on sustainable, innovative and smart solutions for Zimbabwe,” he said.
Mr Nyadembera said the event will be a platform to address challenges being faced by players in the sector.
“Despite significant strides in infrastructure development, smart health, smart transport and digital transformation, Zimbabwe faces challenges that impede their growth and sustainability.
“The conference and expo will address gaps in urban infrastructure, energy and water management, transport mobility, data security and governance and waste management and sustainability,” he said.
