NEW: Independence Day celebrations preps at advanced stage

PREPARATIONS for the 42nd Independence Anniversary Celebrations to be held on April 18 are at an advanced stage, a Cabinet Minister has said.

Addressing Tuesday’s post-Cabinet briefing, acting Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere said:

“The 42nd Independence Anniversary Celebrations and the 2022 Children’s Party are now at an advanced stage.

“The celebrations will be held under the theme, Zim@42: Leaving No One and No Place Behind.”

This year’s celebrations will commence on April 16, with the lighting of the Independence Flame at Khami Ruins National Monument.
