NEW: It’s still game on for ZPC Kariba

Online Reporter

ZPC Kariba are still in with a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Chibuku Super Cup, says their coach Godfrey Tamirepi.

The Kariba-based side drew 0-0 against Herentals in a Group One fixture at the National Sports Stadium (NSS) on Wednesday afternoon.

The draw pushed the ‘electricians’ to seven points, one behind second-placed Yadah, who were expected to play Dynamos at the same venue later in the day.

DeMbare led the pack with 14 points before their match against Yadah.

“The group is still open, one or two wins can change the face of the log,” says Tamirepi.

The coach, however, fears fatigue might affect his players, as ZPC Kariba will once again be shuttling between Kariba and Harare.

The team travelled back to the resort town soon after Wednesday’s draw at the NSS.
