Online Reporter

ZIMDANCEHALL singer Jah Master is set to release a new song in memory of the late Tanzanian songstress, Haitham Kim, who died on September 1.

Kim featured on Jah Master’s “Hello Mwari Remix” video.

Titled “Rufu”, the song will be featured on the chanter’s forthcoming Extended Play (EP).

The “Hello Mwari Remix” video went viral and garnered 876 000 views on YouTube.

Jah Master (born Rodney Mashandure) said he was devastated when he received news on Kim’s death.

“I struggled to stomach the news of her death.  She died at a time when we were in the process of finalising major projects. She was a hardworking young lady who inspired many people, especially girls and women,” a distraught Jah Master said.

Working with Kim, he added, changed his life.

“She was aggressive and very ambitious. Working with her changed my perception of the music industry.”
