JBC men will face their toughest test yet when they come up against Foxes in the Harare Basketball Association Super Six League at the City Sports Centre on Sunday.
Addison Chiware’s men have had a perfect start to the season as they are currently unbeaten at the summit of the men’s log standings with 30 points from 15 games.
Their opponents, Foxes, are the reigning provincial champions.
Foxes run the risk of being relegated to the less fancy HBA ‘A’ League next season after an inconsistent start to the campaign.
They are currently embroiled in a relegation battle as they are fifth on the log standings with 20 points from their opening 15 games of the 2022/23 season.
UZ Stars anchor the log standing with 19 points from the same number of games, while Bucs are just a point above Foxes with 21 points from 15 matches.
This alone makes all three teams tricky opponents.
Sunday’s line-up kicks off with JBC women taking on UZ Sparks, while log leaders Vixens play Bunnies.
Greenstars will be hoping to make up for their walkover loss last weekend when they square up against Harare City Hornets.
In the other men’s fixtures, UZ Stars play Leopards Academy, while Bucs meet Harare City Hornets.
Order of Play
JBC v UZ Sparks (W)
Bunnies v Vixens (W)
Greenstars v Harare City Hornets (W)
UZ Stars v Leopards Academy (M)
Bucs v Harare City Hornets (M)
Foxes v JBC (M)
