New kid on the block

shingi mutasaIt was all pomp and ceremony when one of the newest traditional food outlets GotchaNyama was officially launched at the upmarket Joina City in Harare.
Chief Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Dalibhunga Mandela and his wife Nkosikazi Mbalenhle Makathini from South Africa officiated at the event that also drew Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Walter Mzembi and his wife. Businessman and Joina City developer Mr Shingi Mutasa was also present as well as other colleagues in business.

Chief Mandela paid tribute to the owners of the restaurant, Josie Mahachi ansd her Nigerian husband Jide Agbeneyi for the diversity they brought incorporating influences from various parts of the continent.

Minister Mzembi also took his dream of hosting the 2034 World Cup to another level saying that there was nothing wrong about dreaming as he was doing so for generations to come and this could be done in association with other countries in the region particularly South Africa that hosted the premier soccer showcase in 2010.

The guests sampled some of the traditional meals that will be sold at the eatery on the first floor of Joina City. — Lifestyle writer
