FORMER Manica Diamonds players, Nyasha Tito Chintuli and Timire Mamvura, have both gone on a new path in their careers, and for Chintuli it has been a blissful start in the Eswatini top-flight league, while Mamvura has set sights on a coaching career.

Posting on his Facebook page recently, the 35-year-old Mamvura gave a brief, yet touching outline on how he has managed to stay on top of his game in a career spanning almost two decades.

“The journey has come to an end after 17 years of three Ds, dedication, determination and above all discipline.

The three Ds were key for me, not because I was the best utility player in the PSL, but I believe it was by the Grace of the Almighty that makes me reach this far.

“Credit to all the coaches that I worked with, you made me a better person than what I was before. Now I am about to start a new journey from now. Going forward, I want to achieve things that I did not achieve as a player as a technical member.

“Once again, thank you to everyone who supported me from the word go, be blessed. I am no longer a football player, it is now over to you my son,” reads his message on his Facebook page.

For Chintuli, a forgettable season at Dynamos is now behind him and the former Manica Diamonds top man opened his account for his new Eswatini club, Nsingizi Hotspurs with an impressive hat-trick.

Nsingizi Hotspurs team beat Royal Leopards in an Eswatini MTN Super League encounter played at King Sobhuza Stadium located in Hlangano City.

“I am really happy with the start after managing to score three goals in my first outing. My aim is to help the team finish second or win the league,” said Chintuli.

The club is owned by Derrick Shiba, the chief executive for Inyatsi Group of Companies and is based in a city called Hluti.
