NEW: Leonard Zhakata back in action

Online Reporter

SUNGURA musician Leonard “Karikoga” Zhakata, will end his two-month hiatus on March 22 with a live performance in Harare.

Unlike other musicians who had already resumed live performances following the traditional January break, Zhakata was still resting and recharging his batteries.

The “Mugove” hit-maker is now raring to go.

“Apart from writing songs, the break also gave us the opportunity to rest and map our way forward.

“It was a deserved break and my boys cannot wait to take to the stage and entertain our fans,” said Zhakata.

The Zimbabwe All Stars frontman said he is worried that the drought situation could affect attendance at his shows.

“Some of our supporters live in farming areas, and the forecasted drought will empty their pockets,” he said.
