REGGAE singer Mannex Motsi – born Emmanuel Chamunorwa Motsi – is set to perform at the two-day Zanzibar Reggae Festival in August.

The music extravaganza, featuring singers from different parts of the world, will be held on August 9 and 10.

The singer’s manager, Russel Mavudzi said they are ready for the event which is expected to open fresh avenues for him.

“The Zanzibar Reggae Festival seeks to bring together people from across the globe. It is a platform to promote reggae music, love and unity,” said Mavudzi.

He said Mannex will get a chance to exchange notes with international stars.

“We are not just going there for fun, this is a perfect platform for us to improve our game after learning one or two things from global stars,” said Mavudzi.

Mannex said he is raring to go.

“Reggae music is our heritage and has a lasting impact. I am more than ready for the festival,” he said.
