renovations that were done from the previous joint.
Sports and music lovers and other revelers can now enjoy their beer and other beverages in serene ambience and far away from the madding crowds.
Apart from a VIP bar to cater for the discerning imbibers, people can still enjoy themselves in the main bar, while watching live soccer screenings from several state-of-the-art plasma television sets that are dotted across the large bar.
The main entertainment arena, which is secured by a high security wall, also boasts a stage that musicians and other artistes will be using during live engagements.
Man of the moment Suluman Chimbetu is next week expected to open the joint, with a gig, before opening the floor to other artistes after the official opening.
Currently riding high after walking away with three awards at the National Arts Merit Awards in Bulawayo recently,
Sulu and his Orchestra Dendera Kings is expected to open the joint in style, what with his hit tracks, “Sean Timba” and “Nhambarakishoni”, which has seen him soaring to an all-time high in recent months.
Naturally, like wine, Sulu is also getting better with age and experience and has become of Zimbabwe top-notch entertainers.
Joint owner Petros Chigodora said the renovations were part of Hwenje’s efforts to cater for the needs of its growing clientele..
“While we are based in Glen Norah, our clientele has grown and we have managed to attract people from other surrounding areas like Waterfalls, Belvedere and even Westgate, who patronise the joint.
“We have also realised that they do have different tastes, hence our decision to move our brand a step further and cater for this niche market,” he said.
