NEW: Lucky Dube kills man over cigarette stub

A 35-year-old man was struck with a sledge-hammer on the head after a misunderstanding over a cigarette stub, police have confirmed.

Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect, Lucky Dube (26).

“The ZRP is investigating a case of murder in which Lucky Dube (26) allegedly struck Talent Tshuma (35) once on the head with a hammer after a misunderstanding over a cigarette at Sidzibe Business Centre, Filabusi, on April 27, 2022 in the evening,” police said.

The suspect fled from the scene after committing the offence.
