NEW: Mahusekwa accident kills two, 17 injured

TWO people died, while 17 others were injured after a Toyota D4D pickup veered off the road in Mahusekwa on Monday.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the accident.

“Another fatal road traffic accident occurred at Tabanga turn-off along Mushandirapamwe Road, Mahusekwa.

“Two people died, whilst 17 others were injured when a D4D Pick up veered off the road before overturning once and landing on its right side.

“The bodies of the victims were taken to Mahusekwa Hospital mortuary for post mortem, whilst the injured are admitted at the same hospital,” said ZRP in a statement.
