NEW: Man dies in hit-and-run accident

A 33-year-old man died after sustaining multiple fractures following a hit-and run accident at the 302km peg along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road.

“The ZRP is investigating a hit-and-run road traffic accident in which an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit a 33-year-old man at the 302km peg along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road on the 1st of January 2024.

“The victim sustained multiple fractures and died on the spot.

“The suspect did not stop after the accident,” said ZRP police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
