A 29-year-old man has been charged with murdering his wife, whom he allegedly ran over with a Hino truck during a domestic dispute.
Police say the suspect, Tendai Tigere Gondo from Bulawayo, allegedly attempted to fool them by stage-managing the scene to make the incident appear as an accident.
The deceased is 21-year-old Sanele Ndlovu.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said: “On September 18, 2022, police in Bulawayo arrested Tendai Tigere Gondo (29) in connection with a case of murder in which he ran over his wife, Sanele Ndlovu (21), with a Hino truck during a domestic dispute on September 16, 2022 along Chaplain Road, Khumalo.
“After the incident, the suspect stage-managed a hit-and-run road accident and made a false report at ZRP Bulawayo traffic.”
