DELEGATES representing a diverse range of economic sectors, including mining, agriculture, and logistics, gathered in Beitbridge on Thursday for an investment expo and indaba highlighting Matabeleland South province.

The event’s theme is “Unlocking the Future: Showcasing Resources and Boundless Opportunities”.

The provincial director for infrastructure development and environmental management, Mr Daniel Njowa, said the expo aims to promote the province as a preferred investment destination.

He indicated that the area has abundant investment opportunities across various sectors such as mining, livestock production, transport and logistics, and agriculture.

Mr Njowa also noted that several investors and economic players had been invited to participate in the investment indaba.

The conference ends on Friday and feature a tour of the new US$3,6 billion Palm River Special Economic Zone and Industrial Park, which is currently under construction in Beitbridge West.

“We invite all those interested, including the diaspora community, to explore opportunities in our province,” said Mr Njowa.

Matabeleland South, home to three urban councils and three rural district councils, is eager to showcase its potential.

The event, sponsored by various corporations, will be streamed live on digital platforms, ensuring everyone can engage in this exciting opportunity regardless of location.
