NEW: Musician accuses family of bewitching him

Upcoming sungura musician Takesure Chari, who has five albums to his credit, is a sad and bitter man.

He is accusing his friends and relatives of bewitching him to derail his music career.

The 36-year-old recently released a seven-track album titled “Kurovera Mhiko”, which has songs such as “Wabura Nyuchi Nemuromo” and “Kukusuwa Hakurambidzwe”.

“I released my first album in 2018, but since then fans are not appreciating my work.

“I consulted prophets who told me that my relatives, friends and fellow musicians are casting bad spells on me,” said the Chari Express Band frontman.

Chari believes that the “curse” was affecting the band’s ability to curtain-raise and collaborate with better-known musicians.

He says his new album will help him exorcise the spell.

“One way of fighting witchcraft is by singing and speaking against it. The new album will help me scale new heights,” he said.
