NEW: Musician Blot remanded in custody

Zimdancehall musician Blot, who was recently arrested for unlawful possession of drugs after being found with crystal meth (also known as mutoriro), was today remanded in custody.

Born Takura Chioniso, the 24-year-old was arrested in Harare’s Sunningdale suburb on June 13, 2023.

Blot, through his lawyer Mr Dumisani Mtombeni, denied the charges when he appeared before Mbare Magistrates’ Court.

He is expected back in court on June 26 for trial.
