ONE of Mutare’s fast growing private schools – Princeton Institute – scooped the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Best Emerging Business award.
The institution was handed over their award at a colourful ceremony held in Victoria Falls last Thursday night.
Princeton Institute co-director, Mr Sabastian Mukuchura said: “We are really excited as Princeton Institute for this recognition at national level of the work that we are doing in pushing one of the country’s National Development Strategy (NDS1) key pillars, which is quality education to the nation. This recognition is not only for Princeton Institute, but for all the education providers in Mutare and Manicaland at large.
“Allow me to quote former United States of America President, JF Kennedy who once said “our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education because the humanities mind is our fundamental resource’.”
Princeton Institute is a private School in Mutare, which prides itself in being one of the best providers of quality education.
The institute was formed in January 2018 and rose to become a powerhouse in science education and boasts producing some of the top learners in Zimbabwe as well as on the global stage given the accolades the institution was awarded at the Cambridge High Achievers awards held last month in Harare.
“We were recognised for producing exceptional results by two of our learners, Tiara Bliss Mashingaidze and Anotidaishe Chinyadza, who scored the highest points in Zimbabwe in Advanced Level Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, respectively, for October/November 2022 examination series,” he said.
The institution, whose humble beginnings saw it starting with only one pupil, now has an enrolment of 560 learners, with a good teacher-pupil ratio.
