JUSTICE Mutyoramwendo underlined his status as one of the promising karatekas in the country after claiming silver at the 28th Dragon Cup International Karate Friendship on Sunday in Kagoshima, Japan.

He won five of his fights during the one-day event to win silver in the Men Open category.

The 26-year-old went into the tournament, his second international event confident after claiming gold at the Limpopo Shinkyokushinkai Karate Annual Championship in September.

It was part of his preparations for Sunday’s tournament, which is organised by World Kyokushin Kaikan International Karate Organisation and is open to other full contact styles.
