NEW: NABA face a stern test of character

Online Reporter

NABA Volleyball Club may have coasted their way through the group stages of the Zone Six Volleyball Championship, however, they now face the true test of the championship credentials.

The Harare giants will on Thursday afternoon face Mozambique’s Unizambezi, who have the luxury of playing at home, after which a date against either Harare City or tournament favourites University of Zimbabwe Wolves awaits.

Fortunately, NABA coach Nyashadzashe Takawira is not sweating over any of the opposition.

After seeing his team bounce back from an opening day defeat to finding their groove again, Takawira is already eyeing cup glory.

“The competition has not been that bad so far, “said Takawira.

“We recorded a defeat in our opening match largely due to our struggles adjusting to the indoor court and the new ball.

“However, I am happy the boys are gradually playing to expectations, and our strategy is starting to bear dividends.

“Our eyes are on the gold now,” he said.
