NEW: Ngezi out to seal fourth place

Online Reporter

NGEZI Platinum Stars will be out to seal a fourth consecutive top-four finish, when they host relegated Whawha at Baobab on Saturday.

With both the championship and relegation settled, focus has now shifted to a mini-battle for a top-four finish that includes Ngezi Platinum, Highlanders and Triangle United.

Ngezi have it in their own hands as they need a victory against Whawha to claim fourth position, regardless of what happens elsewhere.

Madamburo are currently fourth, with 52 points, one ahead of Bosso and two above the Sugar Boys going into the last round of the 2021/2022 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The Mhondoro-based side have attained a top-four finish since 2017.

Highlanders, who are looking for a first top-four finish since 2016, play relegated Harare City at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.

Bosso will be praying that Whawha cause a major shock at Baobab, and they win against the beleaguered Harare City.

Triangle have a difficult task at Chicken Inn, who need a point to claim second position.

Chicken Inn have 60 points, three ahead of Dynamos, but the latter have a better goal difference.

So, a loss for the Gamecocks coupled with a win for DeMbare, could see the Harare-side clinching second position on goal difference.

Dynamos play CAPS United in a toned-down Harare derby, at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Champions, FC Platinum, will be crowned at Mandava, soon after their match against Cranborne Bullets.

The match kicks off at 1pm.
