NEW: NMB Bank reopens Kwekwe branch

Online Reporter

ONE of the country’s leading financial institutions, NMB Bank, has reopened its Kwekwe branch, bringing relief to its customers in and around the city.

The branch is NMB’s 13th physical outlet.

NMB Bank chief banking officer, Mr Lloyd Kazunga, said Kwekwe is a prime location and a hub for key economic activities, such as mining and agriculture.

“This compelled us to come back and open a branch,” he said.

“We are primarily a digital bank, meaning our clients can initiate and complete most of their transactions from the comfort of their homes.

“However, to ensure our clients in Kwekwe and surrounding areas can, with ease, collect cash, make deposits and get other physical services, we have reopened the Kwekwe branch.”

Speaking at the re-launch, Kwekwe district development coordinator, Mr Fortune Mpungu, thanked the bank for promoting financial inclusion in the community.

“We also commend your partnership with Zimpost (Zimbabwe Posts (Pvt) Limited).

“We have seen your presence in our local post office here in Kwekwe, and others across the country,” said Mr Mpungu.
