Marjorie Mayida, the managing director of Old Mutual Investment Group (OMIG), has topped the list of Top 10 Women to Watch in Banking and Finance in Africa.
The award recognises Pan-African women who are shaping the financial services sector. The Angaza awards were launched in 2020 at the Africa Leading Women in Banking and Finance Conference, a partnership between the Kenyan Wallstreet and Kaleidoscope consultants.
Throughout her career, she has led several notable projects at Old Mutual, which consist of a number of infrastructure projects in renewable energy and property sectors.
In 2021, she played an instrumental role in the listing on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE), of the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) in Zimbabwe.
Commenting on this achievement, Marjorie said:
“I am thrilled and humbled to be recognised through the 2022 Angaza Awards.
“It is truly an honor to be recognised along with other fellow Pan-African women who are shaping the financial services sector for the future.
“This distinguished accomplishment was only possible through the strategic vision, collaborative leadership style, dedication, and passion of the whole team at OMIG.”
