PALESTINE has condemned assassinations perpetrated against its citizens by Israel.
This follows the recent killing of a Palestinian woman, Ghada Sabateen, from Husan village in Bethlehem.
“The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Harare condemns in the strongest terms the heinous crimes of assassination committed by the lsraeli apartheid occupation forces against a 47-year-old Palestinian woman, Ghada Sabateen,” said the embassy in a statement on Tuesday.
“The latest crime is a continuity of Israel’s ongoing provocation and aggression on the Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan that should not be tolerated.”
Palestine said Ghada is the third Palestinian killed by Israeli forces’ gunfire within a 24-hour period.
“While we welcome the statement from the European Union which expressed grave concern and horrified by the extra-judicial killing of Ghada Sabateen, the State of Palestine is disappointed with the international community’s failure to act against the Israeli violations on Palestinians,” added the statement.
