NEW: Palestine mourns SK Moyo

The State of Palestine’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Tamer Almassri, has sent a message of condolence to the people of Zimbabwe and the family of the late ZANU PF spokesperson, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo.

Ambassador Almassri said Ambassador Moyo contributed immensely to the development of relations between Zimbabwe and Palestine.

“The Embassy of the State of Palestine learnt with deep sorrow and sadness the passing on of Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, ZANU PF spokesperson.

“During his tenure as chairman of ZANU PF, as well as the spokesperson of ZANU PF party and during his various Government Ministerial positions, he contributed greatly not only in supporting the just struggle for self-determination of Palestine, but also to the fostering of Palestinian-Zimbabwe relations,” he said.

“We are deeply saddened by his departure, our most sincere condolences and sympathies are extended to the Government, the people of Zimbabwe as well as his family, relatives and friends.”
