NEW: Poachers arrested over US$120k rhino horn

Police in Bulawayo have arrested four suspects who were allegedly found in possession of a rhino horn.

The suspects have been identified as Mpumelelo Moyo (44), Bongani Akim, Zwelibanzi Gazi and Mbonisi Ndlovu.

The quartet were found with a rhinoceros horn measuring 20 centimetres and weighing about 6,5 kgs in Southworld suburb.

In a statement on their Twitter handle on Saturday, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the horn was valued at US$120 000.

“The suspects were found with a rhinoceros horn measuring 20 centimetres and weighing about 6,5 kilogrammes valued at US$120 000 in Southworld, Bulawayo.”
