President Mnangagwa is expected to interface with miners under the banner Miners Forum for Economic Development (Miners4ED) at the ZANU PF Winery Convention Centre in Gweru on Wednesday.

Small-to-medium scale miners will form the bulk of miners that will attend the event.

Miners4ED national coordinator Mr Maclean Anashe Khozi said the stage is set for the interface.

“All is set for the Miners4ED interface with President Mnangagwa this morning.

“We are here to facilitate the mobilisation of youths and women within the mining sector so that they contribute immensely to the growth of the sector,” he said.

Miners4ED has a membership of nearly 200 000.

Government has set a target to achieve a US$12 billion mining economy by 2023.
