PRESIDENT Mnangagwa and the First Family yesterday visited one of the country’s major tourist attractions – World’s View in Nyanga – in a move that is set boost the drive to promote domestic tourism.
The President’s visit to Nyanga comes in the wake of the successful launch of the Manicaland provincial Domestic Tourism Campaign dubbed “ZimBbo – Uripi” which was held in Mutare last month and organised by the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Ministry.

The campaign’s objective is to inspire locals and the Zimbabwean Diaspora community to travel to and visit places of interest within the country’s borders in order to spur economic growth.
During President Mnangagwa’s visit to World’s View, the First Family toured sites and trout farms in the area, which dovetails with Government’s vision to support domestic tourism.
President Mnangagwa expressed satisfaction with the growing number of both local and international tourists visiting the country.

“Investments in new tourism products and facilities which bolster the sector are a welcome development,” said President Mnangagwa.
Manicaland Provinces boasts several unique and breathtaking tourism sites in Nyanga, Chimanimani, Vumba, Eastern Highlands, Chipinge and Buhera,

Zimbabwe is targeting a US$5 billion tourism economy by 2025 as set out in the National Tourism Recovery and Growth Strategy.
