NEW: Pricing issues take centre stage

Online Reporter

THE topic of pricing in a multicurrency environment will take centre stage on Thursday, when the Chartered Accountants Academy (CAA) hosts a half-day conference in Harare to discuss the issue.

Said the organisers: “Pricing is increasingly becoming complex due to the multicurrency regime, inflation and exchange rate.

“We explore the current legal framework around exchange rates and pricing, a look into the retailer’s perspective and value chain, insights into consumer behaviour, and shifts in response to a controlled market, and lastly the regulator’s perspective.”

Speakers will be drawn from key industry institutions, namely the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ), Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC), and the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR).
