New provincial sports boss appointed

MINISTRY of Sports and Recreation’s Mutare District officer, Clifford Mujoko was recently appointed the new Manicaland provincial head. Mujoko takes over from Prince Mutsvunguma who was acting provincial boss and has replaced Mujoko as the Mutare district co-ordinator.

Mujoko’s appointment letter reads: “Appointment to the post of Provincial, Sports and Recreation Officer: Clifford Mujoko: Sports and Recreation Manicaland Provincial Office.
“Please be advised that, acting in terms of section 8(1)(a) of the Public Service Act (16:04), the Public Service Commission has approved your appointment as Provincial Sports and Recreation Officer for Manicaland Province.

“You will be stationed at Manicaland Provincial Office and you will be reporting to Acting Deputy Director Northern Region. You are therefore required to assume duty at the Provincial Office not later than November 1, 2016.”

In an interview, Mujoko said he was confident of achieving good results in that position given the support of all district officers in Manicaland.

“I am glad to have been appointed to this position. I am looking forward to work well with the district officers of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to achieve a common goal that will see the development of sport in the province,” said Mujoko.
