NEW: PSL to kick off July 17

Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairperson Farai Jere says the league will kick off on July 17.

He made the announcement after an AGM held in the capital on Friday.

The sponsors of the league, likely to be Delta Beverages, will be announced next week.

The league will be preceded by a Cup competition that will run for eight weeks from May 15.

The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis, with four groups playing at four different venues.
