NEW: “Report misconduct by municipal police”

Harare City Council (HCC) has urged citizens to flag misconduct by municipal police.

Acting chamber secretary, Mr Warren Chiwawa, said citizens should not pay bribes to municipal police officers.

“We are encouraging the public not to pay bribes or to induce our officers with incentives,’’ he said.

“Report such officers so that measures can be taken to curb the vice.”

Mr Chiwawa said the municipal police enforcement unit was established to ensure that ciy by-laws are observed.
