NEW: Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo roars to life

THE 15th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganai World Tourism Expo, which is one of Africa’s biggest tourism expos, is back with attendees from across the world set to physically participate after the Covid-19 pandemic-induced hiatus.

The Expo, which was held virtually last year, has seen the organisers lining up a plethora of events with some expected to take place during the course of the week.

Some tourists who are already flocking in are taking the opportunity to explore some majestic tourism sites in the Eastern Highlands such as Nyanga and Vumba.

The Expo will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre and will run untl Sunday.

“The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is excited about the events lined up for the duration of the Expo. Exhibitors, buyers, the media, other stakeholders from the private and public sectors as well as the general public are in for a real treat. There will be trees for a planned planting session. The trees for tourism event/initiative will happen at two schools on Wednesday.

 

“The first school will be the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Mangaliso Ndlovu’s former school, Insukumini Primary School in Njube. The second school will be Huge Beadle Primary School, 10 kilometres from Zimbabwe International Trade Fair. Each school will plant at total of 20 trees,” said Zimbabwe Tourism Authority’s Head Corporate Affairs, Mr Godfrey Koti.
