THE second phase of the Hwedza-Mushandirapamwe Road upgrade is nearing completion, with the contractor now working on the last 3,8 km from Bonyongwe Business Centre to Chop Chop Business Centre.

Completion of this stretch will then lead to the commencement of work on phase three of the roadworks.

Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Advocate Itayi Ndudzo today toured the road to have an appreciation of progress.

“This road is key for economic activities in this district and the entire province. It connects the province with the capital city, Harare,” he said.

“Upgrading of this road is crucial and we thank the Second Republic for working around the clock to ensure our road network is improved.”

Masimba Holdings is the contractor for the roadworks.
