NEW: Six million Covid-19 doses administered so far

CLOSE to six million Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the vaccination programme began.

Government continues to ramp-up efforts to reach herd immunity.

As at April 19, 2022,  a total of 5 799 542 first, second and third Covid-19 doses had been administered, latest data from the Ministry of Child and Health Care shows.

Overall, 3 616 013 have received their second dose, while a cumulative 567 948 have received booster shots.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has recorded 247 336 Covid-19 cases, 241 160 recoveries and 5 466 deaths.
